About the Presenters Debbie Tate and Ginger Abbott are the founders and owners of Memory Makers Children’s Event Planning and Enrichment. They are also highly trained teachers with extensive classroom experience.
Debbie Tate Debbie Tate has been an educator for over 20 years teaching in traditional and therapeutic classrooms. She has a background in Child Development and is an Early Childhood Specialist as well as a certified Montessori Teacher. She has taught at The Village Montessori School, River Oaks Baptist School, The Harris School and The New School in the Heights. She has spent the last 10 years of her career working in therapeutic schools as a teacher, curriculum coordinator and teaching consultant. She is keenly aware of the importance of a well organized classroom and the social and emotional needs of children of all ages. She is also a professional public speaker giving workshops throughout the Houston area. She has been a presenter at The Houston Area Association of Early Childhood Educators Conferences, The Presbyterian Weekday Conference, The Jewish Community Center and many local schools. She has also been published in The National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Journal.
Ginger Abbott Ginger Abbott has been an educator for over 10 years. She has a degree in Psychology, a Master’s Degree in Human Development, is a certified yoga instructor, and a published photographer. Her interest in education began while working with children at Camp Olympia. Working with children at camp is where she learned the importance of providing children with quality activities that turn into lasting memories. She has since devoted her career to working with children with special needs and their families. She has extensive classroom experience and has taught in traditional and therapeutic classrooms. She uses her education and experience to enrich the lives of children.
